(as it flowed forth while driving home just now)
I am me.
Who else could I be?
Who am I to you?
Am I defined by what I do?
Or is it how we relate?
Your mommy or your date.
For you I'll do anything.
I can cook and I can sing.
Caretaker.
Bread maker.
There's always more...
Chores and errands galore!
Kisses on the knee.
Waiting-up impatiently.
Rocking in the chair.
Long walks in open air.
Saying no
When you don't know
That saying yes
Is not the best.
Fighting hard on your side.
Cheering loudly full of pride.
Always ready with arms stretched wide.
Inventing games for fun.
Tucking you in when day is done.
All these things I am.
Doing for you the best I can.
But what am I to me?
That is the quandary.
I am me.
Who else could I be?

Re: Muse post below. I suggest a totally new/different hobby that is a challenge for you and that forces your creativity in a totally different yet concentrated direction ... something you can do right in your house, work on a little bit each day, something you can teach yourself ... how about quilting? ;-) *wink* Anyway, I am having good luck with it, and I swear it is making me more productive/creative overall with writing, etc ... don't sweat too much/drive yourself insane thinking over what to do, what to do ... for me that is the surest way not to think of something good. Inspiration will strike, just like great Mom things to do pop in your head all the time.
